The Faculty of Agro-Industry, Chiang Mai University, proudly congratulates Asst. Prof. Dr. Akkasit Jongjareonrak and his research team for being selected as one of the “Top Innovative Products” in Northern Thailand. On August 1, 2025, Asst. Prof. Dr. Akkasit Jongjareonrak, Division of Food Engineering, Faculty of Agro-Industry, together with the ProEx team—comprising Ms. Kanjanaporn Bunnak, representative from CMH LIFE SCIENCE Co., Ltd., and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wassanai Wattanutchariya, Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University—presented their groundbreaking innovation, ProEx: PM 2.5 Bio-Protection. This product is specially designed to help address health issues caused by PM 2.5 dust, harnessing advanced extraction technology from Houttuynia cordata leaves to enable precise absorption and targeted biological effects. Their innovation was selected as one of the “Top Innovative Products” during the NEC Spotlight: Show & Share Stage, a highly competitive platform that serves as a stepping stone to the national stage. The recognition came under the Advanced Extraction Technology category, organized by the Science and Technology Park, Chiang Mai University (STeP) as part of the “Development of Regional Science Park Mechanisms to Promote Special Economic Corridor Areas” project (NEC, NeEC, CWEC, and SEC). The program aims to empower technology- and innovation-driven entrepreneurs to expand their markets and seize sustainable opportunities on the national stage. #DrivingBusinessWithInnovation
