Non-alcoholic beer made from Samoeng barley and CMU 107 purple rice bran by CMU students wins First Runner-Up in the Fi Asia Startup Innovation Challenge 2025

Congratulations to Ms.Thayanee Tanpriyachaya, a student from the International College of Digital Innovation (ICDI), Chiang Mai University, who together with her team won First Runner-up at the Fi Asia Startup Innovation Challenge 2025.

Their innovative product, “Sa Kum Malt Brew” — a non-alcoholic beer made from Samoeng barley enriched with “Kam Kao Chao” rice bran CMU 107 — was recognized under the theme Ready-to-Eat & Ready-to-Drink, standing out with its outstanding bioactive compounds.

 Team members include Ms. Chitlada Na Lampoon, Ms. Thannaporn Jeanpitak, Mr. Sitthidet Thongdonyod, Mr. Natthaphong Kanma and Ms. Thayanee Tanpriyachaya.

Our appreciation goes to the Faculty of Agro-Industry and the dedicated advisory team for their invaluable guidance and support, enabling students to develop innovative works that shine on the international stage.
