NurseCMU Research Collaboration Discussed with University of Technology Sydney

On Wednesday, December 17, 2025, the Faculty of Nursing, Chiang Mai University, led by Assistant Professor Dr. Suparat Wangsrikhun, Dean, held an online meeting with academic leaders from the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), Australia, to explore opportunities for international research collaboration.

Participants from Chiang Mai University included Associate Professor Dr. Phanida Juntasopeepun, Associate Dean, and Assistant Professor Dr. Preeyakamon Krikitrat, Assistant Dean. The UTS delegation comprised Professor Angela Dawson, Associate Dean (Research), Faculty of Health; Professor Alaina Ammit, Associate Dean (Research), Faculty of Science; and Professor Anna Williams, Deputy Head of School (Research), School of Nursing and Midwifery, Faculty of Health.

Discussions centered on the opportunity to participate in a proposed small-scale academic conference aimed at connecting Thai and Australian researchers in the field of women’s health and technology. The proposed one-day hybrid conference, "Empowering Health Futures: Women, Technology & Care," will highlight digital innovation, integrated care models, and research partnerships to strengthen health systems and advance gender-responsive health outcomes across the Asia-Pacific region.

The meeting reflects the Faculty of Nursing, Chiang Mai University’s continued commitment to global collaboration and impactful research addressing emerging health challenges.
