CMU joins forces with Muang Thai Capital to launch the “Muang Thai Capital Sustainable Development Project”

Chiang Mai University President Clinical Professor Niwes Nantachit, and Mr. Chuchat Petaumpai, Chairman of the Executive Committee of Muang Thai Capital Public Company Limited, together with Prof. Dr. Pongrak Sribunditmongkol, Vice President, Assistant Prof. Dr. Tanyanuparb Anantana, Director of Science and Technology Park, and Mr. Paritat Petchampai, Deputy Managing Director Muang Thai Capital Public Company Limited signed a Memorandum of Understanding between Muang Thai Capital Public Company Limited and Chiang Mai University on September 13, 2021. This Memorandum of Understanding is for implementing the Muang Thai Capital Sustainable Development Project to raise awareness on the importance of sustainable development, and to cultivate good values for Thai society.





Clinical Professor Niwes Nantachit stated: “Today's collaboration with Muang Thai Capital Public Company Limited is in line with Chiang Mai University's vision to be a leading university with social responsibility and sustainable development following the values of community engagement, serving society with a focus on local and social responsibility, morality, and public intellectual development. It will be a step forward in carrying out activities for social development which will lead to further achievements in the future.”

Mr. Chuchat Petaumpai added that, “The signing of this memorandum of understanding is a good opportunity for the company to give back to society in a new way together with Chiang Mai University through the process of promoting knowledge, technology, and innovation from Chiang Mai University to the community, to build a career and strengthen the community with experts from both the education sector, the public and the private sector. All could come together to transfer knowledge, useful technology, and solve problems in the community. These experts are an important customer group of the company and they also aim to create benefits for communities and society for sustainable development. This is the starting point for building cooperation to engage in activities that elevate the future.”
